Why not pay back all of the moneys having been "borrowed" from the Social Security funds over all of these years? Who would/will dare to publish the total amount of dollars "borrowed" from a healthy fund?

Ah, the good old days. Passengers properly dressed. Hat, gloves, nylons for her. Jacket, tie, REAL shoes for him. Civility, courtesy, manners, and proper dress were taught to children from the beginning, and life was rather nice in those repsects.

Actionman has the right drift. I'd add "boiler plate" language to execs' contracts that any and all severance $$$ are not awarded if they: 1) fail in fiduciary duties 2) behave in any way that tarnishes the corporation, and 3) other "don't be bad" language.

Firing employees to "up" the bottom line ... thus, he gets all of his wage/perks/benies - that's the American way at most corporations.

Flyboy 3008, you are so correct. Automation can lead to complacency in the cockpit. Ultimately, it is the personal conduct of the pilot to do his/her job at his/her highest level of concentration and ability at all times.

Our small town has curbside recycling once every two weeks for glass, paper, cardboard, aluminum, and steel [cans]. The "dump" is open to the public at very limited hours when plastic is accepted there. Our grocery accepts grocery bags and that ilk, but truthfully, to recycle plastic …
